The California Dream For All Shared Appreciation Loan is a down payment assistance program for first-generation homebuyers to be used in conjunction with the Dream For All Conventional first mortgage for down payment and/or closing costs.
Upon sale or transfer of the home, the homebuyer repays the original down payment loan, plus a share of the appreciation in the value of the home.

Eligibility Overview
First-Generation Homebuyer
You must be a first-generation homebuyer, meaning you haven't owned a home in the last 7 years and your parents do not currently own a home in the US.
Primary Residence
The property being purchased must be your primary residence.
Income Limits
Borrowers must meet CalHFA income limits for the county in which the property is located.
Education Requirement
Completion of homebuyer education counseling is required for at least one borrower.
